The Peterbalds coat can be flocked, brush, bald, velour or straight. If the Peterbald is born with hair it can be lost over time due to having a hair-losing gene. Peterbalds come with all markings and colours.
Bald Peterbalds are born 100% hairless. Peterbalds are soft and warm, with wrinkled skin and no whiskers or eyebrows. They are a little sticky to touch as they feel like warm rubber.
Flock Peterbalds are only 90% hairless. The hair they do have is short and sparse but smoother than the bald Peterbald.
Velour Peterbalds have 30% hair which is 1mm – 3.5mm long and more easily seen and reflects the light.
Brush Peterbalds have curly and wiry hairs which can be both seen and felt. Peterbalds whiskers are also curly.
